Define the goal
Identify the exam, learning objective, current level, available time and the main obstacles.
Method
Academic coaching, learning design and ORA — brought together in one personalised learning process.
How we work
Identify the exam, learning objective, current level, available time and the main obstacles.
Create a personalised path: priorities, resources, representations, study conditions and feedback.
Practise deliberately with targeted tasks, simulations, error analysis and verification strategies.
Learn to recognise problems, choose strategies, regulate your study and move forward without constant support.
Academic coaching & learning design
Academic coaching focuses on how you learn: how you organise your work, approach difficulty, sustain motivation, prepare for assessments and respond when a strategy is not working.
Learning design turns those observations into a structured pathway: clear objectives, appropriate resources, meaningful practice, formative assessment and feedback.
ORA
I developed ORA progressively through my career in school teaching, university tutoring, learning coaching and learning design. It is not a rigid sequence: observation, regulation and action continuously inform one another. We use this framework to identify what works for you and progressively build a personalised study method that you can adapt and use independently.
Read the situation, recognise what you know, identify resources and notice how you are approaching the problem.
Adapt strategy, representation, attention, pace, support and learning conditions according to what you observe.
Solve, explore, explain, test, practise, verify and create new connections that move learning forward.
The aim
The immediate objective may be passing an exam or overcoming a difficult subject. The longer-term objective is to transform the strategies we develop together into your own study method: one you understand, can adapt to new situations and can progressively use without me.
